1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the StoneCrest Stable website (www.stonecreststable.com) or participating in any of our programs, lessons, camps, or events, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our website or services. These terms apply to all visitors, students, boarders, and others who access or use our services.

2. Services

StoneCrest Stable provides equestrian services including, but not limited to:

• Group and private riding lessons
• Introductory and evaluation lessons
• Horse boarding
• Summer camps
• Trail rides
• Clinics and workshops

All services are subject to availability and our current pricing schedule. Prices are subject to change with reasonable notice.

3. Assumption of Risk

IMPORTANT — PLEASE READ CAREFULLY: Horseback riding and equine activities involve inherent risks that cannot be eliminated regardless of the care taken by StoneCrest Stable. These risks include, but are not limited to, falls from horses, horse kicks, bites, or other unpredictable animal behavior, and contact with equipment. By participating in any equine activity at StoneCrest Stable, you acknowledge and voluntarily assume all such risks. North Carolina law (N.C.G.S. § 99E-1 et seq.) limits the liability of equine activity sponsors for injuries resulting from the inherent risks of equine activities.

4. Liability Waiver

All participants in StoneCrest Stable programs are required to sign a separate Liability Waiver and Release before participating in any equine activity. For minors, a parent or legal guardian must sign on their behalf. Participation in any program without a signed waiver is not permitted.

5. Cancellation and Refund Policy

• Lessons: Cancellations made at least 24 hours in advance may be rescheduled. Late cancellations and no-shows forfeit the lesson fee.
• Summer Camps: Cancellations made 30+ days before camp start date receive a full refund minus a $50 administrative fee. Cancellations within 30 days are non-refundable but may be transferred to another session if space is available.
• Boarding: Boarding agreements are governed by a separate Boarding Contract.
• Weather: StoneCrest Stable reserves the right to cancel or reschedule lessons due to dangerous weather conditions. Cancelled lessons will be rescheduled at no additional charge.

6. Safety Rules

All participants must comply with our safety rules at all times, including:

• Wearing an ASTM/SEI-certified riding helmet at all times while mounted
• Wearing appropriate footwear (closed-toe shoes or boots with a heel)
• Following all instructor directions
• No running in the barn or around horses
• No feeding horses without staff permission
• Supervising children at all times

Failure to comply with safety rules may result in removal from the program without refund.

7. Photography and Media

StoneCrest Stable may photograph or video participants during lessons and events for use in marketing materials, social media, and our website. If you do not wish to be photographed, please notify us in writing before your first lesson. By participating without such notification, you grant StoneCrest Stable a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use your likeness in connection with our services.

8. Website Use

The content on this website is provided for general informational purposes only. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any content on this Site without our express written permission. We reserve the right to modify or discontinue the Site at any time without notice.

9. Governing Law

These Terms of Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of North Carolina, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Gaston County, North Carolina.

10. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to the website. Your continued use of our services after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the new terms.
